Andrology and male sexual health

Sexual health is part of a man's overall health. A proper assessment makes it possible to identify the causes of the problem and design an individualised treatment plan.

Areas we address

Common conditions

Erectile dysfunction

Persistent difficulty achieving or maintaining an adequate erection. It can have a vascular, hormonal, neurological or psychological origin, and is sometimes an early sign of other health conditions.

Premature ejaculation

Ejaculation that occurs sooner than desired, causing distress. It is a common reason for consultation, and there are different approaches depending on the cause and circumstances of each case.

Peyronie's disease

Curvature of the penis associated with the formation of fibrous tissue plaques, which may be accompanied by pain or difficulty during sexual intercourse.

Male infertility

Difficulty achieving pregnancy related to male factors. Its assessment combines the clinical history with specific tests when indicated.

Hormonal disorders

Changes in male hormone levels, especially testosterone, which can influence energy, mood and sexual function.

Process

Assessment process

1

Clinical history

A detailed conversation about symptoms, their evolution and personal context is the first step of any assessment.

2

Examination and tests when indicated

Physical examination and, if necessary, additional tests help to clarify the cause of the problem.

3

Individualised treatment

Options are presented according to each case, explaining the available alternatives clearly.

This page describes the general assessment approach in Andrology. Specific treatments and services will be detailed at a later date.
